        Known as an incredible educator, helpful confidant, and inspirational role model, Amanda Goss-Christensen has a Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies and a CTE teaching certificate in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. 

    As the Culinary Arts educator at Benson High School over the past six years, Mrs. Goss-Christensen teaches students of all learning abilities, and has created a classroom environment that takes Culinary to a level that excites students, and also directly applies to their lives. Students benefit from not only Mrs. Goss-Christensen strong teaching methods, but also from her use of real-world experiences, cutting-edge technology, creativity and strong teacher student relationship. Whether students are serving, plating, cooking, menu costing, or providing other customer service, students consistently learn valuable hands-on skills within a “restaurant” setting. Selected as the 2019 Program of the Year by the Arizona Family and Consumer Sciences Education Board, her Culinary Arts program with the classroom restaurant has become one of the most popular electives at Benson High School. 

    Whether teaching Culinary, Consumer Science, or serving as the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America Adviser, Mrs. Goss-Christensen utilizes her intrinsic drive to motivate students to excel and to enhance opportunities for student learning and service projects both within and outside of the classroom. Mrs. Goss-Christensen possesses a wealth of knowledge in her areas of study, pride in education profession, and a great understanding of the importance of a positive educational experience for all students. Mrs. Goss-Christensen’s care and concern for her students and their education is without parallel. She is a teacher who makes a difference!
