Chris Yetman - CDO High School
Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and English Literature from Carleton College in Northfield, MN. He earned his teaching certification and completed 10 graduate mathematics classes at the University of Arizona. He has taught math for more than 30 years and enjoys seeing the success of his former students in many fields, including engineering, science, art, and education.

Chris currently teaches AP Calculus BC, Algebra I and Academic Decathlon at Canyon del Oro High School and has taught nearly every math course offered at the school. Chris makes learning engaging and accessible to all students by including historical information about math, as well as applying it to current problems and issues. He makes sure to always use his sense of humor and caring personality to engage and retain students.Â

Outside of the classroom, Chris works for the College Board as an AP Calculus Question Leader, training other teachers to score AP Calculus Test questions. He also works as a coach for the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI), mentoring AP Calculus teachers across the nation. His areas of expertise include AP Calculus, IB Mathematics, Social and Emotional Learning, Funds of Knowledge, and the Educative Process.

Chris lives in Tucson with his wife of 26 years and two grown children.
