Arizona Softball Student Home Run Derby

Starting with the Wildcats' home opener on Thursday, February 5th vs. Southern Utah, students can earn points for every softball game they attend to count towards participating in the 2026 Student Home Run Derby. The 50 students who attend the most softball games will be invited to participate in the home run derby, which will take place later in the season in late April or early May. In order to earn points towards the event, students must scan the QR code on their way into Hillenbrand Stadium at the marketing table located near the main gate or scan the QR code shown on the videoboard.
Participants in the Home Run Derby will have 60 seconds to hit as many home runs as they can. Once every participant has taken their swings, the student with the most home runs will be crowned the champion. The winner of the derby will receive a signed poster by the team. The last day to earn points towards the student home run derby is Sunday, April 26th.
