- Earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors for the state of California
- Joins classmate Koa Peat as the 31st and 32nd McDonald’s All-Americans to play at Arizona
- Finished with six points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal in the McDonald’s All-American game
- Played his senior year at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in California
- Averaged 29 points, nearly nine rebounds, three assists and three steals as a senior
- Had five games where he scored 40 points and one game where he topped 50 points during his final year at Roosevelt
- Led Roosevelt to the CIF Southern Section title, the SoCal Regional championship and scored 44 points to win the Open Division state championship
- The 44 points in the championship game broke the previous record of 35 points set by former Wildcat Jordan Brown in 2017
- As a junior at Roosevelt, Burries averaged 25 points, eight rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game while being named Inland
- Played on the Nike EYBL circuit with Strive for Greatness
- Participated in the 2023 and 2024 USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team training camps
- Burries' father, Bobby, played basketball at San Bernardino Valley Junior College and Cal State San Bernardino, where he was inducted into their hall of fame in 2011
- His mother, Hannah (Low), played two seasons of collegiate softball at Tennessee and one year of college basketball at Cal State San Bernardino
