Roberta Stout joined Arizona Athletics in 2008 as the Assistant Director of Community Relations, Special Events and the Jim Click Hall of Champions museum. Her main responsibilities at that time were to implement all of the departmental and Wildcat Club special events and serve as the advisor to the spirit honorary, Arizona Allegiance.
In the summer of 2010, Stout became the Director of that same department, which has a comprehensive community relations program that ensures both the community and the athletics department adhere to compliance regulations for all community outreach efforts such as charitable donations, public facility tours, student-athlete, coach and administrator community service and the kids club, Arizona Kidcats. Additionally, she oversees all of the department’s special events and manages the Jim Click Hall of Champions heritage museum. She also maintains and ensures the department’s heritage policies are adhered to. Additionally, Stout has served as the advisor for the UA Cheerleaders and Mascots since 2011.
Prior to joining the athletics department staff, Stout was a Development Specialist for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona, where she assisted in planning the major fundraisers that were held annually to raise the operational funds for the House.
As a Tucson, Ariz. native, Stout has been a lifelong Wildcat and graduated from the University of Arizona in 2004 with a degree in communications. During her undergraduate career, she was also an intern for Arizona Athletics and organized tours and student-athlete community service. She is married to her husband David Stout of Berwick, Pa. and her sister, Marisol Quiroz, works in the department as the Associate Director for Student Development in C.A.T.S. Academics.
