University of Arizona Athletics

Coach Vanessa Romeo is a Tucson, Arizona native and graduated from Cienega High School. Vanessa was a four year member of the Arizona Cheerleading Team from 2008-2012, and served as captain for one year. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and 2014 with a Master of Education in Teaching and Teacher Education.
 
Vanessa taught high school Spanish at Cienega High School and coached the varsity cheer team for several years before moving on to work as a University Development Counselor for Grand Canyon University.
 
In addition to her role as Head Coach of Arizona Cheerleaders & Mascots, Vanessa is also the Coordinator of Community Relations, Special Events, and the Jim Click Hall of Champions. Her responsibilities include Charitable Donations and Tours for Arizona Athletics.
