Davy Gnodle enters his second season as a defensive graduate assistant after joining the program in the summer of 2016. He assists in coaching Arizona's defensive line and outside linebackers.
Gnodle spent the last two years coaching defensive linemen at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, and previously coached linebackers at Carson High School in 2012. Nine of Gnodle’s players have earned Division I scholarships in his three seasons as a high school assistant. Â
Gnodle played linebacker at El Camino Junior College in the 2005 and 2007 seasons, before earning a scholarship to play at Texas Southern University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in science and health from TSU.
A native of Carson, Calif., Gnodle graduated from Carson High School. He is married to Shanyl Gnodle. They have two children, Davy Jr. and Taliloa Silia. His extended family includes relatives from Australia, New Zealand, Pago Pago, American Samoa, and Faleula and Taufusi, Samoa.
