Brandon Sanders

As a legendary Wildcat alum, Brandon Sanders was appointed Coordinator of Football Alumni and High School Relations in February of 2021. At the time, Sanders became the third of four Arizona Football alumnus to join the staff, following Ricky Hunley and Chuck Cecil who were named assistant coaches in December of 2020.

In his role, Sanders will be a pivotal part of Arizona Football's outreach, alumni and community relations and operations. He will also work closely with the athletic department's "A-Club" for Letterwinners while supporting the program's on-campus recruiting activities and player development initiatives.

Sanders was a two-time First Team All-Pac-10 selection as a safety for the Wildcats in 1994 and 1995 as Arizona would go on to finish the 1993 season ranked number one nationally in total defense. By the time his college career ended, Sanders ranked third in school history in pass breakups while amassing 199 total tackles, five sacks and nine interceptions in 46 career starts. He went on to play three seasons with the New York Giants of the NFL before playing in NFL Europe and the XFL.

The San Diego native has extensive coaching experience as well in both the Indoor Football League as well as the head coach of Pueblo Magnet High School in Tucson where he guided the Warriors to a pair of region titles and three state playoff appearances. Sanders won 70 percent of his regular season games at Pueblo, won regional coach of the year awards and was named 2019 Southern Arizona Coach of the Year.
