Tim Cummins enters his 21st season with Arizona football and his 18th season as head video coordinator in 2025. He organizes the filming of practices and games as a teaching tool for coaches and player evaluations.
In 2013-14, Cummins was named the Pac-12 Video Coordinator of the Year by his peers and by the Collegiate Sports Video Association. He is responsible for weekly exchanges with opponents, upkeep and maintenance of the equipment used by the football team, meeting with coordinators and position coaches for video cut-up needs and he produces weekly motivational videos and the season highlight video.
While managing a staff of nine in the daily video operations, Cummins serves as the administrator of Arizona’s cloud video-based technology, allowing access to video from home via internet using devices.
Cummins earned his bachelor’s degree from UA in 2004 in media arts. Prior to his work with Arizona Athletics, he served as a video production consultant and was a football coach at Salpointe Catholic High School.
A Tucson native, Cummins is married to the former Rebecca LeGendre. Has a daughter named Lydia and a son named Theodore.
THE CUMMINS FILE
- Hired in 2005 by Mike Stoops to produce weekly, season and recruiting highlights, while assisting with the filming of practice for coaching purposes.
- Promoted to head of Football Video department in 2007- Responsible for filming of all practices and game for coaching purposes while managing a handful of student managers, producing highlight videos, and building off-site video networks for August camp and bowl games.
- Provided insight to the expansion of the football practice fields in 2009.
- While under Rich Rodriguez in 2011, developed 1st person POV video of QB’s by attaching cameras to helmets, and introduced cloud based technology allowing for all video footage to be reviewed off-site on iPads.
- 2012 oversaw the migration of Football Staff, Team and Position meeting rooms and video office from McKale Center to the Lowell-Stevens Football Facility.
- 2014 was recognized by my peers and named Pac-12 Video Coordinator of the Year.
- In 2021, was involved with the construction upgrades to the Lowell-Stevens Football Facility, specifically bringing in new technology to the head coaches office, staff, position and team rooms, Creative Media room, Player’s Lounge and Locker Room.
