Arizona assistant swimming and diving coach Anna Heller joined the Wildcat staff in August of 2019.
Heller comes to Arizona from SMU, where she served as an assistant coach for two seasons. With the Mustangs, she coached four athletes that NCAA Championship appearances over two seasons, including 2019 American Athletic Conference Most Outstanding Performer Erin Trahan.
Prior to SMU, Heller was an assistant coach on the Texas A&M women’s staff, where she helped lead the Aggies to their highest ever NCAA finish (3rd) and an SEC Championship.

Heller also has extensive experience at the club level, coaching at the Aggie Swim Club (College Station, Texas) and Hillsboro Heat (Hillsboro, Ore.). Heller also served as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Portland, where she led the strength and conditioning and nutrition efforts of the women’s basketball and tennis programs.

Heller swam collegiately at Texas A&M where she helped lead the Aggies to a Big 12 Championship in 2012 and had top-10 times in the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes. She transferred to Texas A&M from Oregon State, where she qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2010.

In 2012, Heller qualified for the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials, and, in 2015, she qualified for USA Swimming Nationals.
