2015-16: Had the second-fastest times on the team in the 100 fly (47.26) and 200 fly (1:44.16)…Holds the eighth-fastest time in Arizona history from his season-best…Finished fourth in the 200 fly against No. 1 Texas with 1:50.07…Took fourth in the 200 back at No. 5 Stanford with 1:50.85…At the Texas Invitational, placed sixth in the 100 fly (47.41) and 200 fly (1:45.04), and eighth in the 200 IM with 1:47.29…At the Pac-12 Championships, took fourth in the 200 fly with his season-best time, second in the B final of the 200 IM with 1:45.31 and fifth in the B final of the 100 fly with 47.47.

2014-15: Had the third fastest time on the team in the 200 fly (1:45.16) and fourth fastest in the 100 back (49.70), 100 fly (47.69) and 200 IM (1:46.83)…At Pac-12 Championships, he took seventh in the 200 fly and seventh in the B final of the 100 fly with his season-best times. Finished eighth in the B final of the 200 IM with 1:47.54, earning ‘B’ cuts in all three events…At the Texas Invitational, he took sixth in the 200 fly, eighth in the 200 IM, fifth in the B final of the 100 fly and fourth in the D final of the 200 free…Against Cal, he finished fourth in the 100 back and sixth in the 100 fly.

High School: A seven-time letterwinner at Tampa Prep…Was team captain senior year and MVP all four years…Made All-America team sophomore, junior and senior year…Made All-Conference team, All-City team, All-District team, All-Region team and All-State team all four years…Holds all the school records except 100 breast…Finished top ten in the nation and competed at Norwegian nationals…Rated as the fourth best high school swimmer in Florida and the 38th best swimmer in the 2014 class according collegswimming.com.

Personal: Born Rasmus Grimsmo Skjaerpe in March of 1996 in Baerum, Norway to Arne and Unni Skjaerpe…Has one brother, Oscar and one sister, Astrid…Planned major is in business…Likes to fish and sleep in his free time…Chose Arizona over Georgia, Tennessee, NC State, Auburn, University of Virginia and Princeton.
