Michael Barnett is in his fifth season as a member of the equipment staff for Arizona football. He spent the 2012 season as the assistant football equipment manager at Louisiana Tech. He got his start in college athletics as a student football equipment manager for the Wildcats from 2009-12. 

Barnett assists in day-to-day equipment room operations including maintenance, inventory, pre- and post-game laundry, transporting and setting up equipment for home and away games and aiding the coaches during practices and on game days.  He helps oversee a staff of 16 student managers.

Barnett has also worked as an assistant for the Lute Olson Basketball Camp, Mike Stoops Football Camp, Sean Miller Basketball Camp, the UCLA Basketball Camp and the Louisiana Tech Football Camp.

He is a member of and certified by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA). A native of New City, N.Y., Barnett earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Arizona.
