Hannah Weiss joined the Arizona Track and Field and Cross Country staff as director of operations in 2026, bringing more than 15 years of collegiate coaching, administrative and program management experience to Tucson.
Weiss arrives at Arizona after spending two seasons at Drake University, where she served as director of operations and an assistant coach with the Bulldogs’ cross country and track and field programs. In addition to assisting with the distance program, Weiss oversaw travel, housing and logistics for the cross country, indoor and outdoor seasons. During her time at Drake, athletes she worked with established school records in six indoor and outdoor events.
Prior to Drake, Weiss spent two seasons at Wartburg College as a distance assistant for cross country and track and field. She contributed to back-to-back men’s and women’s cross country team titles in 2022 and 2023, while working with athletes who earned four All-America honors in the steeplechase.
Weiss previously spent six years at Capital University as director of cross country and track and field and strength and conditioning coordinator. During her tenure, Capital athletes established 28 school records, produced 10 NCAA qualifiers and earned five All-America honors. Her collegiate career also includes stops at the University of Central Oklahoma and Coe College. She began her collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at North Central College in 2010.
A former student-athlete at Loras College, Weiss earned All-America honors in the 800 meters and distance medley relay and served as a cross country team captain.
Weiss earned bachelor's degrees in business marketing and Spanish from Loras College in 2010 and a Master of Sports Leadership from North Central College in 2012.
