2014: Indoors, exhausted her eligibility … Outdoors, Labonté had top-10 marks in the women’s discus and shot put for the entire season … Her season-best toss of 57-3 (17.45m) came at the LSU Alumni Gold where she took first place overall … At the Pac-12 Championships, Labonté had a toss of 57-2 (17.42m), good for a first-place finish … She is only the seventh woman in conference history to win four conference titles in one event and the first to ever do it in the shot put … At the NCAA West Preliminaries, Labonté had a toss of 55-2.75 (16.83m) that was good for fourth place overall and a trip to Eugene for the NCAA Championships … Labonté’s toss of 56-8 (17.27m) at the NCAA Championships placed her fourth overall, the fourth-straight year she earned All-America accolades in the event … In the discus, Labonté’s personal-best toss of 186-6 (56.84m) came at the ASU Invitational and is the fourth-best toss in UA history … She earned and eighth-place finish in the event at the Pac-12 Championships with a mark of 176-6 (53.80m) … Labonté and former Wildcat Alyssa Hasslen are the only two athletes in program history to earn all-conference accolades in both the shot put and discus all four years of their careers … At the NCAA West Preliminary, Labonté only threw 164-1 (50.01m), taking 20th place and failing to advance to the final of the NCAA Championships.
2013: Indoors, as a senior, Labonté never finished lower than third place during the 2013 indoor season in the shot put … She won her fourth-straight MPSF Championship in the event with a toss of 57-4.75 (17.49m) … She also took first place at the New Mexico Classic and the Don Kirby Invitational … Her season-best toss of 57-5.75 (17.52m) came at the NCAA Indoor Championships and was good for third place overall … It was the third-straight year she earned NCAA Indoor All-America honors … Outdoors, Labonté had a breakout year in the discus and continued to be one of the best shot putters in the nation as well … In the discus, Labonté earned a runner-up finish at the Pac-12 Championships with a personal-best toss of 186-4 (56.79m), the No. 4 throw in UA history … It was third-straight year she earned all-conference honors in the event … Labonté qualified with ease at the NCAA West Preliminary, taking fifth place with a toss of 176-6 (53.80m) … At the NCAA Championships, she earned a runner-up finish once again, this time throwing 184-6 (56.24m), the second-best toss of her career … It marked the first time she had ever made it to the NCAA Championships in the event and she came away with NCAA Outdoor All-America honors … In the shot put, Labonté won her third-straight Pac-10/12 title as a junior, posting a mark of 57-0.25 (17.38m), the second-best toss of the season for her … Her season-best mark of 57-8.25 (17.58m) came at the Willie Williams Classic where she took first place … She also won at the Jim Click Shootout and the UA-ASU-NAU Double Dual … At the NCAA West Preliminaries she took third place with a toss of 55-11.75 (17.06m) … Labonté finished in fifth place at the NCAA Championships in the event with a toss of 56-3.25 (17.15m) … It is the third-straight year she earned NCAA Outdoor All-America accolades … She became the first woman to earn All-America honors in the shot put and discus in the same season since Carla Garrett in 1989.
2012: Indoors, Labonté earned All-America honors for the second-straight year in the women’s shot put … She had a toss of 58-0.25 at the NCAA Championships, good for third place overall … Her personal-best mark of 59-1.25 is a school record, that toss was good for first place at the Razorback Invitational … Labonté won her third-straight MPSF Championship, setting a meet record with a toss of 58-7.5 … Outdoors, she redshirted the season … At the Canadian Olympic Trials, Labonté took first place in the shot put competition and the discus competition … She threw 57-7.5 in the shot put and 177-3 in the discus … Labonté met the Olympic “A” Standard for the shot put and represented Canada in the Olympic Games … In the preliminary round of the shot put at the Olympics, Labonté took 23rd place with a toss of 57-4.25.
2011: Established herself as the top shot putter in the nation as a sophomore, putting together one of the best individual campaigns in school history in the event … Did not lose a shot put competition to a collegiate competitor throughout the season, a streak that lasted 12 competitions and including winning the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor titles in the event … Set the second-best mark in Arizona history and Canadian national record with a throw of 60-1 … The mark ranks Labonté as one of the top-10 outdoor throwers in NCAA history and was one of the top-25 marks in the world for 2011 … Won the NCAA Indoor Championship with a throw of 57-6.25 despite not being the top-ranked thrower entering the competition … Was the Pac-10 Outdoor and MPSF Indoor Champion, bringing her total to a perfect four-for-four at conference championships in the shot put … Also had a strong season in the discus, recording a personal best of 172-4 at the UA-ASU-NAU Double Dual meet, good for the 10th-best mark in school history … Finished the season at the IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea where she finished 18th overall in the shot put qualifying rounds with her toss of 59-2.25.
2010: Labonté placed 12th in the shot put at the NCAA Indoor Championships and later earned All-America honors outdoors with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships … She took the MPSF Indoor and the Pac-10 Outdoor Championships titles in the shot put and also finished fourth in the discus outdoors … Qualified for the first round of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the discus ... Competed for Canada at the NACAC U-23 Championships in Miramar, Fla., and finished third in the shot put.
HIGH SCHOOL: One of the top athletes to come out of the Canadian junior scene ... Labonté set the Canadian Junior record in the shot put with a mark of 53-9.25 ... The previous record had been held since 1964 … Competed at the 2009 Pan-American Junior Games in Trinidad and Tobago where she finished second ... Won the shot put and discus events at the Canadian Junior Olympics and competed on Canada's Junior National team ... Gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games ... Winner of the Eric E. Coy Memorial Trophy for Junior Athlete of the Year in 2008 … Also an active participant in volleyball and basketball in high school.
PERSONAL: She is the daughter of Daniel Labonté and Celine Tanguay … Majoring in family studies and human development.
