2016: Indoors, Westlake competed in the pole vault at the Lumberjack Team Challenge. There he placed ninth with a mark of 13 ft. - 11.25 in. (4.24m). Outdoors, Westlake had a top-five finish in the pole vault at Willie Williams when he posted a personal best mark of 14 ft. - 7.25 in. (4.45m).

2015: Redshirted during the indoor season … Outdoors, Westlake competed in the pole vault in two events … He cleared a height of 14-1.25 (4.29m) at the Arizona-ASU Dual meet and the Jim Click Shootout and finished in sixth and fifth place, respectively. 

HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Basha High School, Westlake was a two-time letterwinner as a pole vaulter on the track and field team … At the Arizona State Championships, Westlake finished in third place overall … His personal-best clearance is 15-0 after only 18 months of competing.

PERSONAL: He is the son of Bruce and Anita Westlake … He has one brother, Kyle … His cousin, Garrett, is a member of the cross country team at the University of Wyoming and his cousin Emily is a cross country runner at Minot State University … He is pursuing a degree in physiology.
