Leanna Olivar has been providing athletic training healthcare services to the student-athletes of the Arizona Athletics department since the fall of 2004. She started her professional career as a graduate assistant working with the Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field teams and assisting with the Football program. In 2006, she was retained as a full-time staff member and over the course of the years extended her expertise to the Women's Basketball, Cheer & Mascots, Baseball and the Men's and Women's Tennis team. She currently provides care for the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving programs.
Besides offering athletic training services, she established, manages, and supervises clinical immersion internships for athletic training students from various athletic training education programs nationwide.
Leanna is a current member of Arizona Athletic Trainers' Association (AzATA), Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers' Association (RMATA) and National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). Her leadership role within the NATA extends to being a past District 7 representative on the Young Professionals Committee and the Professional Responsibility in Athletic Training committee.
Leanna earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training and Health Promotion Community Education from Northern Arizona University (2004) and a Master's in Education degree from the University of Arizona (2006).
