- Played for New York Lightning on the Nike EYBL circuit
- Was born in Kenya and spent his youth in Uganda
- Started playing basketball around the age of 13
- Played soccer and was into swimming growing up
- Speaks three languages - an African tribal language, Luganda - one of the major languages in Uganda, and English
