2017-18: Had the second fastest time on the team in the 100 breast with 1:01.57, earning an NCAA B cut at Pac-12 Championships…Earned another NCAA B cut in the 200 breast with 2:15.75…Had the third fastest team time in the 200 IM with 2:00.70…Finished in the top-five nine times throughout the season in the breaststroke, including two bronze in the 200 breast…Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention…CSCAA Scholar All-America Honorable Mention.

2016-17: Had the second fastest team time and personal best in the 100 breast with 1:01.02…Swam a personal best 2:00.14 at the Pac-12 Championships in the 200 IM…Qualified for NCAA B cuts in the 200 IM (2:00.14) and 200 breast (2:14.31) with the third fastest team times…Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention.

2015-16: Earned Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention honors…Finished seventh in the 100 breast at Pac-12 Championships with her season-best time (1:01.70)…Took eighth in the B final of the 200 breast (2:15.09) and third in the C final of the 200 IM (2:00.58) at Pac-12s…Placed third in the 100 breast against ASU.

2014-15: Had the second fastest time on the team in the 200 IM, third in the 200 breast and fourth in the 100 breast, all coming at Pac-12 Championships…At Pac-12s, she took first in the C final of the 200 IM (2:01.50), seventh in the B final of the 100 breast (1:01.23) and second in the B final of the 200 breast (2:13.24), earning ‘B’ cuts in every event…Finished fifth in the 200 IM against Texas/SMU.

High School: A four-time letterwinner at South Mecklenburg High School…Was team captain senior year and MVP all four years…Made All-America team freshman through senior year…Holds the school record for the 200 IM…Ranked as the fifth best swimmer in the state of North Carolina and 65th in the country according to collegeswimming.com.

Personal: Born Alexandra Brianne Martelle in November of 1995 in Charlotte, N.C. to Robert and Jennifer Martelle…Has two younger sisters, Lindsey and Madelyn…Likes to do photography in her free time…Chose Arizona over NC State, Lousiana State and University of Virginia.
