Jamie Schroer

Tucson native Jamie Schroer was elevated to assistant coach for Arizona Women’s Tennis on September 1, 2023, after serving as a volunteer assistant with the program during the 2022-23 season.

In her first two seasons on staff, Schroer has played a key role in the resurgence of Arizona Women’s Tennis, helping guide the Wildcats to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time in over a decade. The 2025 season was a standout campaign that saw Arizona achieve its highest national ranking since 2012 at No. 26, earn a 14-2 home record, and defeat rival Arizona State for the first time since 2014. The Wildcats finished fifth in the final Big 12 standings with two doubles pairings ranked in the ITA Top 30.

Schroer helped coach Josie Usereau to a career-best ITA singles ranking of No. 34 and a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team. She also mentored Midori Castillo and Danielle Tuhten to All-Big 12 Second Team honors, while Tanvi Narendran was named Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year under Schroer’s guidance.

During the 2024 season, Arizona posted a 17-13 record with four conference wins and a first-round victory over Oregon in the Pac-12 Championships. That year also saw Reece Carter earn her second consecutive All-Pac-12 First Team selection, while Brandelyn Fulgenzi and Kayla Wilkins received All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention recognition.

In her debut season on staff (2022-23), Schroer helped Carter to a stellar freshman campaign, including an undefeated 8-0 record at the No. 2 singles spot and All-Pac-12 First Team honors. Arizona went 11-4 at home and notched ranked wins over No. 35 Illinois and No. 48 Utah.

A former standout at Santa Clara University, Schroer earned 2022 All-WCC honors in singles and achieved a No. 20 ITA Northwest Region ranking. She competed primarily in the top three singles spots and compiled a 14-10 doubles record during the 2021-22 season. Schroer was a consistent performer both on and off the court, earning WCC All-Academic honors three times and ITA All-Academic recognition in four consecutive seasons.

As a high school player, Schroer reached a career-best USTA national ranking of No. 49 and was rated No. 61 by TennisRecruiting.net.
