Monica Robinson-Daly

Monica Robinson-Daly is in her first season as assistant coach of Women's Tennis.

Her coaching career began at Texas Tech where she joined as a volunteer coach for a single year, helping lead the Red Raiders to a 17-9 record and an NCAA Tournament berth where they ended up being as the number 9 team in the country. Robinson-Daly comes from Point Loma Nazarene, where the team ended with a 6-4 record in the COVID shortened season.

Robinson-Daly had a successful career on the WTA tour from 2017-2019, where she was ranked as high as #608 in singles and #712 in doubles in the world. Robinson compiled a successful winning percentage in WTA singles. 

Robinson-Daly played collegiately at University of Notre Dame where she played No. 1 her senior year. She was named to the All-ACC Second Team, All-ACC Academic Team and was the ITA Midwest Region Most Improved Player. She got to as high as #16 in doubles and #53 in singles. Robinson had notable singles wins over No. 14 Brianne Minor (2017 NCAA Champion) and Miami’s Estela Perez-Somarriba (2019 NCAA Champion). In doubles, Robinson-Daly had wins over Virginia’s Danielle Collins and Stephanie Nauta, North Carolina’s No. 12 Caroline Price and Jamie Loeb.

The San Diego native also became the first Notre Dame women’s tennis player to win the National ITA/Arthur Ashe, Jr., Sportsmanship & Leadership Award. 

Robinson-Daly earned a bachelor of business administration as a double major in marketing and Spanish literature from Notre Dame. In 2020, she got married to her college sweetheart, Scott Daly, and obtained her Master’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Management from Point Loma Nazarene.
