FRESHMAN (2016-17)
Had the second most wins of any Wildcat, going 16-8 on the season... Played at the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 spots, going 7-6, 3-1, and 6-1 respectively... Spent time in the ITA Division I Women's Tennis rankings, reaching as high as No. 113... Was part of Arizona's most successful doubles tandem, going 8-2 with Lauren Marker, with all eight wins coming from the No. 1 spot.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Grants High School in New Mexico for her freshman and sophomore years before enrolling at Connections Academy online high school and focusing on her tennis career with Go Beyond Tennis Academy… Won the singles state championship in 2014… Named captain and MVP each year she attended Grants… Comes to Arizona as a five-star recruit, ranked No. 1 in New Mexico.
Personal: Born in Grants, N.M., before moving to Glendale, AZ. in the summer of 2014 to train with Joey Blake… Daughter of Stacey and Patricia Corley… Has one brother named Cassius, who is a football player at New Mexico State University… Has a family full of past and present NCAA student athletes, including her father, brother, grandfather, uncles and cousins.
Interesting facts: 2015 Doubles Champion Canadian U18 ITF World Ranking Event… 2015 Singles Champion Monterrey Contry ITF Junior Cup… 2016 Singles Champion Copa Universidad Galileo IT… Ranked as high as 20th nationally in the 2016 recruiting class.
Spends free time: Hanging out with her friends and family, shopping.
Career aspirations: Majoring in either Law or Psychology with hopes of going into law one day… Inspired by her uncle, who is a lawyer, and her cousin, who is in law school.
Why she chose Arizona: “When I came for a visit I instantly felt a connection with the girls on the team and Coach Maes. I felt at home and like I had known them for a long time. I felt like Coach Maes could help make me a stronger player. Overall, Arizona is in a strong conference and provides a lot of support and opportunities for their students. I also like the heat and knew that I wanted to play where the weather was hot. I prefer heat to snow.”
