University of Arizona Athletics

Emily Dwerlkotte joined the University of Arizona as an assistant director of equipment operations in September of 2014. In January 2023, Dwerlkotte was promoted to director of equipment operations. Prior to that, she spent nearly three years in the same role at the University of Pittsburgh.  As equipment manager, Dwerlkotte works with women’s basketball, softball, women’s golf, and men's and women's tennis.
 
While at Pitt, Dwerlkotte worked with many of their programs, including women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s track and field, cross country, women’s gymnastics, women’s tennis, cheerleading and dance team. Her duties included ordering and inventorying all of their gear, while also assisting with the equipment budgets and managing student workers.
 
Prior to her work at Pitt, Dwerlkotte spent time at Kansas as an Olympic Sports Equipment Manager Intern, where she assisted the head equipment managers with various tasks.
 
Dwerlkotte got her start in college athletics in 2007 as a student at Cloud County Community College. She was a member of the women’s basketball team, while also assisting the athletic director.
 
After obtaining her Associate of Sciences in 2009, she transferred to Bethany College where she continued to play basketball. She graduated in 2011 and obtained BAs in Business Management and Sports Management.
