Alex Curro joined the CATS Strength and Conditioning program as an Assistant Performance Enhancement Coach working primarily with the Wildcat men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, and gymnastics programs. He also assists with the men’s basketball and baseball programs.
A native of Bedford Hills, NY, Curro comes to Arizona from Florida State University where he was a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach with the Seminole men’s tennis team. He also assisted with the men’s and women’s swimming, and men’s and women’s track and field programs. Prior to his time at FSU, Curro completed internships at the University of Arizona, University of Kansas, University of Florida, Villanova University, and the University of Central Florida throughout his undergraduate degree. At those universities he primarily worked with the men’s basketball and baseball programs, while also gaining experience with multiple other Olympic sports.
Curro received his master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, with a concentration in Sport Science,from Florida State University, and his undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Central Florida. He is SCCC, CSCS, CISSN and USAW certified.
