Cody Hendrickson joined the University of Arizona Athletics Department in August 2024 as Assistant Athletic Director for Innovation & Strategy. A member of the department's Leadership Team, he works in human resources operations while overseeing a number of department initiatives including, implementation of the Bear Down Blueprint, employee lifecycle processes, professional development programming, and department-wide metrics, analytics, and reporting. Hendrickson also serves as the sport administrator for Arizona Triathlon, while working with numerous campus partners and supporting department-wide strategic initiatives.
Hendrickson came to Tucson from the University of Missouri, where he spent 8 years in various roles. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Leadership in 2022, having previosuly served as Academic Coordinator. During his time at the University of Missouri he served as a member of Missouri's leadership team, oversaw SAAC, Community Service, Leadership Development initiatives, and Mental Performance, while serving on campus as a Title IX and Equity Resolution Hearing Panelist, on the Chancellor's Committee on Student Conduct, and adjunct professor for the student success center and Trulaske College of Business. Hendrickson started his journey as a graduate assistant with Mizzou Made Academics before being promoted to Academic Coordinator at the University of Missouri for football, women's soccer, and softball in 2020.
A native of Harmony, Minnesota, he earned a bachelor's degree in sport management at Bemidji State in 2016 and a master's of education in school and counseling psychology from the University of Missouri in 2018. Hendrickson is currently working on his doctoral dissertation to complete his Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis with an emphasis in higher education.
He lives in Tucson with his wife, Kaylee, and their labradoodle, Tito.
