A University of Arizona alumnus with a BFA in Theatre, Film, and Television, Darrin brings an extensive and diverse career in audio engineering to UArizona Athletics. His experience spans live sports and event production, live music—working with countless national and international touring acts—film and television sound design and post-production audio, including an award for sound design and post-production audio, as well as professional work with J.J. Abrams and Michael Piotrowski. His background also includes high-level corporate AV for conferences across science and technology, arts, sales, politics, and medical advancement.
During his time as a UofA student, he worked in multiple audio engineering roles both on and off campus, including game-day production at McKale Center and Arizona Stadium. A musician first, he has spent his life balancing creative and technical disciplines while maintaining a deep connection to sports. Having grown up playing nearly every team sport imaginable, he enjoys combining his athletic background with his professional audio expertise. Today, his sports of choice are mountain biking and snowboarding—and he has no plans to ever stop making music or enjoying live sporting events.
