David Jensen is Director of Compliance at Arizona. Jensen joined the Arizona Athletics Compliance Office in September of 2019.
As Director of Compliance, Jensen oversees and administers the athletically-related financial aid for all sport programs at Arizona. He serves as the athletics liaison to the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid and Housing & Residential Life. In addition to financial aid, Jensen has day-to-day compliance responsibilities related to conduct and employment of athletics personnel, recruiting, awards, benefits, and expenses for enrolled student-athletes, and playing and practice seasons.
Prior to joining Arizona, Jensen obtained his Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in 2017. While at Tulane, he interned as Compliance Specialist at the University of New Orleans during the 2015-16 academic year and earned a coveted summer externship at the NCAA in Enforcement in 2016. Jensen is an active member of the State Bar of California. Most recently, Jensen served as Compliance Coordinator at Long Beach State University from June 2018 to September 2019.
The Southern California native lettered for four seasons (2007-2010) in baseball at Northwestern University. After graduating from Northwestern in 2010, Jensen played baseball professionally for a few years, highlighted by his time in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization from 2011 to 2012.
Jensen resides in the Catalina Foothills with his wife, Olivia, and daughter, Briar.
