Isaac Trujillo, MS LAT ATC, joins the University of Arizona Sports Medicine staff from Samford University where he served as an assistant athletic trainer for two years. Here he worked with the baseball team and supervised intern athletic trainers working with Track & Field/ Cross Country teams. Â
Prior to joining the Samford University staff, Trujillo worked at Towson University in Baltimore Maryland. Â He gained invaluable experience working directly with baseball/volleyball and supervised athletic trainers covering swimming & diving and club sports.
His first stop after finishing school was at the University of Maryland where he served as an assistant athletic trainer for two years. While at Maryland, he was responsible for the overall healthcare of the baseball team and assisted with the off-season care of men's lacrosse, football and golf teams.
Trujillo earned a Master's of Science in physical education with concentration in sports administration from the University of New Mexico. He served as the graduate assistant athletic trainer for the volleyball and swimming & diving teams and was a teaching assistant in the CAATE-accredited undergraduate athletic training education program.
In 2009, Trujillo graduated from the University of New Mexico with his Bachelors of Science degree in athletic training. As an undergraduate student, he worked with the football, men's soccer, volleyball, swimming & diving and men's basketball teams.
In addition to his experience at UNM, Trujillo also had the opportunity to serve as a member of the Medical Staff of the Winter X Games 13 and as a summer intern for the Green Bay Packers in the summers of 2008 and 2009.
