Joe Moeller became General Manager of Arizona Wildcat Sports Properties in 2012. Thanks to a terrific team, Arizona Athletics is recognized as one of the most successful and rewarding partner programs in collegiate athletics.
Having spent his entire career in fundraising, public relations, marketing, media and sponsorships, Moeller came to Tucson from San Diego. While in California, he served as Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations at San Diego State University (2000-04); President of the San Diego International Sports Commission (2004-08) and MoJoe Group, Inc (2008-12). While developing new programs that delivered fundraising and corporate partnership records at each stop, he also served as Co-General Chairman of the 2008 U.S Open at Torrey Pines and helped attract the inaugural World Baseball Classic and Red Bull Air Races to showcase San Diego to a worldwide TV audience.
Prior to his time in Southern California, Moeller supported and executed multimillion dollar capital campaigns at the University of South Dakota, Truman State University and Arizona State University.
A West Point, Iowa native, Moeller holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of South Dakota, where he served as the captain of the men's basketball team. He went on to earn a master's degree in higher education administration.
