John Daley was named Arizona Athletics’ Assistant Athletics Director for Creative Services in July 2017. Daley is responsible for assembling, leading and guiding a team of highly motivated and talented professionals, the
@UA_DigitalGurus. The ‘Digital Gurus’ are tasked with creating dynamic, innovative, and groundbreaking content to drive game day presentations, marketing campaigns, web, social, digital content, and recruiting initiatives.
The award winning ‘Gurus’ were honored with NACMA’s bronze and silver awards in 2016 and ‘17. FootballScoop.com also named them runner up in 2015 for their ‘Video of the Year.’
After originally being hired in 2009 to produce and direct weekly television coaches shows for Sean Miller and Mike Stoops, Daley was promoted in 2012 to Director of Video Production. In 2014, he was named Director of the newly formed Creative Services, which combined video production, live-event production, and graphic design.
Prior to Arizona, Daley worked 12 years at an Orange County Advertising Agency, JCR Advertising as a Production Manager and Video Editor. During this time, he also coached high school football at his alma mater, El Camino High School in Oceanside, Calif. beginning as a freshman football coach and eventually becoming Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach in 2005.
Daley earned a bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral science, communications from the University of Arizona in 1993.
The Oceanside, Calif. native is married to Juli Monroe-Daley, who is a teacher at Tanque Verde Elementary. The couple has two daughters, Molli and Mackenzi.
