Josh Lockhart joined the Wildcat Business Office in February 2025 as a Financial Analyst III.
Before making the trip to Tucson, Lockhart served as a director of operations at Rutgers and recently as the senior team administrator for the Texas A&M Track & Field program. He gained valuable experience in collegiate track and field and cross country through his stints with the Scarlet Knights and the Aggies. Lockhart handled day-to-day operations, organized events and facilities, coordinated travel, and collaborated with a multitude of departments to ensure the program operated at the highest capacity for athletes and coaches.
Prior to joining the Texas A&M Track & Field Staff, he was the Assistant Manager in their Internal Operations Department, where he oversaw areas such as department travel, accounts payable and receivable, and financials for Reed Arena.
His college experience began in Storrs, Connecticut, where he received his undergraduate degree in urban and community service and his master's degree in sports management from the University of Connecticut. Lockhart continued to serve as an athletic administrative assistant for the UConn Athletic Director's office. There, he learned and developed a skill set that set a benchmark for his roles at Rutgers, Texas A&M, and now Arizona.
Lockhart brings a great understanding and familiarity with the track and field world, having been a track student-athlete at UConn.
