Matt Giller

Matt Giller joined the Arizona Athletics Department on July 7, 2025, as the Associate Athletics Director for Development. In this role, he oversees the Wildcat Club's Major Gifts team and is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing major gifts, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with Wildcat Club members.

Giller came to Tucson from Creighton University, where he served as the Assistant Vice President/Associate Athletics Director for Athletic Development beginning in June 2022. He was a member of both the athletics executive team and the University Relations (Foundation) senior leadership team.

During his tenure in Omaha, Giller led all development and fundraising operations for Creighton Athletics, including campaign management, major giving, annual fund strategy, premium seating, endowments/planned giving, donor stewardship, event hospitality, and coordination with University Relations and the Office of the President. He also served as sport administrator for the cross country, men's tennis, women's tennis, and baseball programs. Under his leadership, Creighton Athletics achieved record-setting fundraising milestones, including securing the two largest gifts in its history—one of which was a transformative $100 million commitment to launch the Fly Together Campaign.

Prior to his time at Creighton, Giller spent nearly a decade at his alma mater, Kansas State University. Serving in a variety of roles within the Ahearn Fund, he contributed to fundraising efforts that generated more than $250 million in capital improvements while helping drive annual fund revenue to the highest level in school history in FY22. He also oversaw the relaunch of the Varsity K Club after nearly 40 years.

A former member of the Kansas State baseball team, Giller earned both his bachelor's degree in business administration (2011) and his MBA (2014) from the university. As a student-athlete, he was a four-time letter winner, team captain, and two-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree.

Matt and his wife, Jodie, have three children: Graham, Collins, and Brooks.
