Max Krieger

Max Krieger joined the C.A.T.S. Academics staff in July of 2019.  He currently serves as the Academic Counselor for Women’s Basketball, Women’s Tennis, Beach Volleyball and Men’s Track & Field/Cross Country.  Krieger runs the C.A.T.S. Academic's social media platforms and helps serve as the liaison between C.A.T.S. Academics and Creative Services. He also assists with SAAC, leading the Career and Leadership subcommittee.  Krieger is active nationally as a member of the N4A organization and sits on the Academic Policies and Procedure committee and the Best Practices subcommittee.

Prior to joining the C.A.T.S. Academic team, Krieger was a graduate assistant at the University of Oklahoma. He primarily worked as an Academic Mentor, working with 25-35 student athletes and focusing on preparing them for the rigors of college academics. He also worked in Student-Athlete Development helping with the Leadership Academy, running a community outreach program called iLead, and creating a workshop series to prepare students for life after college sports.

Krieger graduated with his Master’s degree from OU in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration. Before OU, Krieger received his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Kinesiology & Health: Exercise Science. While at Iowa State, he was also a student-athlete participating on the Cyclone Wrestling team.

Originally from Mason City, Iowa, Krieger currently resides in Tucson with his wife, Ryne, and dog, Lola.
