Courtney Merkle joined the C.A.T.S. Academics staff in August 2019. Courtney is the counselor for Men’s Tennis, Women’s Swimming & Diving, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Indoor Volleyball and Football. Prior to joining the C.A.T.S. Academics staff she spent two years at the University of Wyoming as an Academic Coordinator in the Office of Academic Support working primarily with Men’s and Women’s Track & Field, Men’s and Women’s Golf and Women’s Tennis, while also overseeing the Tutoring and Mentoring Program. Courtney spent the year prior at Colorado State University as an Assistant Academic Coordinator where she worked with Football and assisted with the Tutoring Program.
Courtney earned her Master’s degree with distinction in Education - Human Relations from Northern Arizona University in 2016 while also working as a Graduate Assistant Learning Coordinator in Student-Athlete Development. Prior to Northern Arizona University, Courtney attended the University of Wyoming and was a student-athlete on the Cowgirl soccer team. She graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology & Health Promotion.
