Luisa Bautista joined C.A.T.S. Academics in 2017 as a Desk Attendant while completing her Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology. Inspired by the supportive environment and meaningful impact of the C.A.T.S. Academics program, she quickly became more involved by serving on the Executive Board and taking on the role of Assistant Learning Specialist.
In October 2022, Luisa transitioned to a full-time position with C.A.T.S. Academics as Program Coordinator. She is currently pursuing a Master of Legal Studies (M.L.S.) in Sports Law at Arizona State University. As a Learning Specialist, she manages an average caseload of around 20 student-athletes, helping them develop effective learning strategies, strengthen academic skills, and achieve success in their coursework.
In her current role as Senior Coordinator, Luisa oversees various external operations and plays an integral role in the support staff program. She supervises Desk Attendants, supports staff development, and contributes to initiatives involving social media, graduation events, and other departmental programs. Luisa remains committed to fostering student success and enhancing the programs and services offered through C.A.T.S. Academics.
Outside of work, Luisa enjoys spending time with her family, including her twin sister, mother, and grandmother. She also loves spending time with her Goldendoodle, Louie. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and participating in a variety of activities with friends. Her passion for building meaningful relationships both professionally and personally reflects her commitment to fostering community and supporting those around her.
