Head Coach Lute Olson:
"It certainly was a game of two halves. In the first half, we really made it
difficult for them to do what they wanted to do. We did a very good job of
moving the basketball. We did a great job in the first half on both ends. We
played well defensively, and they were frustrated in the first half."
"In the second half, they tested us well. They hit some 3-pointers, and they
went to the foul line quite a bit. We were 3-of-9 from the line with 12
minutes left in the second half, and you just can't do that. We have not
done well from the free throw line all year."
"We need to be more efficient in the second half. We forced too many shots,
and we forced some drives into crowds. We took too many quick shots,
especially some one-pass shots, and that is not very smart basketball."
"I was pleased to see that Channing (Frye) was 6-of-10 from the field, and
Isaiah (Fox) was 4-of-4. Channing played very well, and Isaiah did a good
job off the bench."
"With Kansas on Saturday, we are going into a very tough place to play. They
are a very talented basketball team, and we are going to have our hands
full. It should be a great game. We are going to see how well our players
respond to that kind of pressure."
