TUCSON (AP) - Arizona's Andre Iguodala scored 19 points, including 15 in
the first half, to lead the hot shooting Wildcats to a 109-66 victory
over the Sydney Comets in an exhibition game Wednesday.
Iguodala made all six of his field goal attempts at halftime when Arizona
built a 62-25 lead. The Wildcats made 57 percent of their shots, compared
to Sydney's 25 percent at intermission. Iguodala ended up making 8 of 10
field goal tries.
Hassan Adams scored eight of Arizona's first 10 points in route to a
game-high 22 points. Channing Frye and Salim Stoudamire each had 14
points, while Chris Rodgers and Kirk Walters had 11. Mustafa Shakur added
10.
Sydney was led by the 12 points by Circus King. Rasheem Sims had 10 points.
Iguodala connected on two three-pointers while Arizona went on a 13-4 run
to close the first half.
Arizona did not let up after halftime, getting back-to-back dunks by
Adams and Channing Frye to punctuate the outcome and give the Wildcats a
42-point lead with 16 minutes remaining.
