TUCSON (AP)-Andre Iguodala of No. 4 ranked Arizona had 23 points, many on
a variety of dunks, to lead the Wildcats to a 116-91 victory over team
Nike in an exhibition game victory Thursday.
Iguodala helped lead the Wildcats to a 58-48 lead at halftime with 12
points, but he really put on a show after the intermission.
Ahead 77-60 the sophomore had a give-n-go dunk, a slam off a lob pass
from Mustafa Shakur and then another rim-rattler after an around the back
assist from Chris Rodgers to up Arizona's lead to 86-62 with nearly 11
minutes left in the game.
Arizona had six players in double figures with Channing Frye having 20,
Shakur 19, Hassan Adams 18, Rodgers 15 and Salim Stoudamire 12.
Nike was led by the 17 points from Wayland White, while Jeff Boschee had
16 and Charles Wills added 13.
Nike trailed by only five points with 1:56 remaining in the first half,
but a pair of free throws from Stoudamire and a three-pointer at the
halftime buzzer by Shakur gave the Wildcats the momentum.
