In doubles action, in the first position the No. 7 ranked doubles team of juniors Maja Mlakar and Dianne Hollands lost to California's No. 14 team of Raquel Kops-Jones and Jieun Jacobs, 8-5. Arizona's second loss in doubles came on court 2 where senior Debbie Larocque and freshman Kasia Jakowlew fell to California's team of Nicole Havlicek and Jodey Scheldt, 8-3. On court 3, junior Kelly Perry and freshman Jessie Rochefort defeated the Golden Bear's team of Catherine Lynch and Jessica Shu, 8-2.
Later in the afternoon in singles action, No. 17 ranked junior Dianne Hollands defeated No. 4 ranked Raquel Kops-Jones in three sets, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4. On court 6 sophomore Iza Ferreira lost her match to California's Monica Wiesener, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4). In the fourth position, junior Kelly Perry won as her opponent, Nicole Havlicek retired in the second set. Junior Maja Mlakar, senior Debbie Larocque, and freshman Jessie Rochefort all lost their matches in two sets.
The Arizona women's tennis team will return home to face the Arizona State Sun Devils on April 17. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. at the Wildcat's home facility, the Lanelle Robson Tennis Center. This will be Arizona's final match of the regular season, and senior Debbie Larocque's final match at home.
