UCLA reeled off seven consecutive points to open the third set, but the Wildcats battled back to tie the score at 23-23 after a 14-3 run. After both teams traded the next few points, the Bruins broke a 25-25 tie after getting back-to-back kills from Love to clinch the set and the match.
