Cats Finish in Thirteenth in Eugene

TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona men's golf team competed in the third and final round of the Duck Invitational in Eugene, Ore. at Eugene Country Club today. The Wildcats shot a final round score of 299 (+11), to give them a total score of 904 (+40). Arizona finished in thirteenth place as a team.

The host school Oregon Ducks kept their lead throughout the day and finished in first place with a total score of 858 (-6). The Ducks finished three shots ahead of the second place team SMU, who shot an 861 (-3). Oregon was lead by Jonathan Woo, who also sustained his lead after day one. Woo finished with a score of 208 (-8), two shots ahead of second place. Oregon's Rak Cho also helped lead the Ducks to a victory by finishing in a tie for fourth with a 212 (-4).

Individually for the Wildcats, Trent Redfern posted a solid final round score with a 71 (-1), giving him a total score of 221 (+5) for the tournament. Redfern finished in a tie for 27th overall.

Alex McMahon finished the tournament with the second lowest score for the Wildcats with a 229 (+13) and finished in a tie for 62nd. Dylan Kornberg posted a final score of 229 (+14) and earned a tie for 68th. Juan Pablo Hernandez finished with identical scores for the tournament. The two posted total scores of 231 (+15) and finished in a tie for 71st.
