Season: Made seven starts and went 3-4 with a 4.42 ERA before missing the majority of the season after undergoing 'Tommy John' surgery on his left elbow ... Struck out 43 in 38 2/3 innings pitched ... Also appeared in 12 games as UA's DH, making 11 starts ... Batted .278 with five doubles, 10 RBI and four runs scored ...at No. 15 Mississippi State (March 10-12): Was charged with his third loss of the season despite striking out a season-high 11 batters and allowing just two earned runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings ...
