Wildcats Tied for 10th at Tucker Intercollegiate

The Arizona men's golf team finished the opening day of the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in a 10th place tie after shooting 598 (+22) as a team.
The Wildcats will play the tournament's final 18 holes on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. MST.
Freshman George Cunningham paced Arizona with a two-round total of 147 (+3). Cunningham shot a 69 (-3) in the morning, but finished the afternoon with a plus-six 78, putting him into a tie for 24th place.
Senior Alex McMahon finished the day in a tie for 55th with a total of 152 (+8), while freshman Peter Koo shot 158 (+14) on Friday to enter into an 81st-place tie. Senior Brenden Redfern and freshman Max Donohue shot 148 (+4) and 151 (+7), respectively, to finish the day in ties for 34th and 48th place.
"The guys fought hard all the way around," head coach Jim Anderson said. We will likely be teeing off the holes a little easier to score on tomorrow, so it will be imperative that we start strong but more importantly, finish even better in the hopes of moving up the board."
Of Arizona's three individuals in the tournament, junior Kolton Lapa was the best on Friday with a five-over total of 149. He currently stands in a tie for 40th place. Sophomore Jacob Kreuz and senior Dylan Kornberg reside in ties for 45th and 79th place after Friday's action with totals of 150 (+6) and 156 (+12), respectively.
