Skieresz Headlines Pac-12 Cross Country All-Century Team

TUCSON, Ariz. Four former Wildcats were named to the Pac-12 Cross Country All-Century Team, which was announced by the Pac-12 conference this morning. Amy Skieresz headlined the group as she was named the Pac-12 Women's Cross Country Runner of the Century.

Skieresz was a four-time Pac-12 Champion from 1995-1998 and won an individual National Championship during her sophomore year in 1996. She was also a four-time All-American and she finished in second in the National Championship every other year she competed.

Tara Chaplin was also named to the All-Century team. Chaplin competed right after Skieresz and won the individual National Championship 2001. Chaplin also won the Pac-12 title in 2000 and was a two-time All-American.

Lawi Lalang was named to the All-Century team on the men's side. Lalang had one of the most prolific careers any Wildcat runner has ever had. He won an individual National Championship in 2011 and was a two-time All-American as well. Lalang won back-to-back Pac-12 titles in 2011 and 2012 as well.

Martin Keino rounded it out for Arizona on the men's All-Century team. The two-time All-American and 1994 individual national champion competed in the early 90s. Keino won the Pac-12 title in 1994 and finished in second two other times as well.
