The University of Arizona women's golf team completed the final round of play on Tuesday at the Windy City Collegiate in Golf, Ill. The Wildcats finished in 8
th place posting a team score of 15-over-par.
"The team struggled a little at times today, but we finished strong with five birdies on our last six holes," said coach
Laura Ianello. "Krystal and Haley have continued to lead our team with their dominant play. We need to work on putting and short game stats before we leave for Hawaii in two weeks. The team is disappointed and we know we can perform at a higher level."
Sophomore
Haley Moore posted a 1-over-par round of 73, shooting even par for the tournament, which earned her a tie for 12
th place. Junior
Krystal Quihuis also tied for 12
th place after carding a round of 72 on the day. Freshman
Sandra Nordaas posted a round of 74 on the final round, putting her at 7-over for the tournament and in a tie for 41
st place.
Senior
Wanasa Zhou tied for 47
th place after shooting a round of 77, and +8 for the tournament. Senior
Jessica Vasilic carded a round of 83, and finished in 78
th place.
The University of Georgia took home the team tournament shooting 10-under-par. Andrea Lea of Stanford won the individual title, shooting 10-under-par.
