  • Arizona heads to Missouri following its 79-57 midweek win over UC Irvine in McKale Center. The Wildcats were led by the "European Connection" of Dusan Ristic (Serbia) and Lauri Markkanen (Finland) who scored a total of 36 points on a combined 71.4 percent shooting from the field.  UA was efficient from the field against a heavy dose of zone shooting 53.8 percent from the field, 47.1 percent from beyond the arc and 83.3 percent from the free throw line.
  • Saturday's game in Columbia will be Arizona's first true road game of the season following four games at neutral site locations in non-conference play so far in 2016-17. UA is 6-1 in the first true road game of the season under Sean Miller with the one loss coming in his first season to Oklahoma on Dec. 6, 2009. UA had lost the previous five consecutive first true away games of the season prior to Miller's arrival.
  • The trio of Kadeem Allen, Kobi Simmons and Rawle Alkins each tallied five or more assists in Arizona's 22-point win over UC Irvine on Tuesday. It marked the first time Arizona had achieved the feat since Nick Johnson, Gabe York and T.J. McConnell did it versus California on Feb. 26, 2014.
  • The weekend's game is the bookend of a home-and-home series between the two programs. Arizona defeated Missouri 88-52 last December in McKale Center. The Wildcats had six players score in double figures in that game, led by Mark Tollefsen's 17 points off the bench. Chance Comanche grabbed ten rebounds in the win over the Tigers, which still stands as his career high.
  • The Wildcats' all-time record versus current SEC members is 23-26 (.469). It's the program's second lowest winning percentage against a conference behind only the MAAC (2-4 - .333). Arizona has faced programs from 32 different conferences in its history.
  • UA is led in scoring this season by the freshmen trio of Lauri Markkanen (17.8 ppg), Rawle Alkins (11.8 ppg) and Kobi Simmons (11.3 ppg). Those three freshmen make Arizona one of only two programs in the nation to have its top three scorers all be freshmen averaging at least ten points per game. The other school in this distinction is Auburn.
  • Arizona will play just its second SEC road game since 2003 on Saturday at Missouri. The Wildcats played Florida in Gainesville in December of 2011. UA also played at Texas A&M during the 2008-09 season, but the Aggies were still a part of the Big XII at that time.
