Biography
Senior Season (2017-18)
Became the all-time winningest player in program history with 115 victories, surpassing Matt Muehlebach (1988-91) and Kaleb Tarczewski (2013-16) at 110 wins… Second Team All-Pac-12 Selection… Member of the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team… Became 28th Wildcat in Arizona history to score 1,000 points and grab 500 rebounds in a career… Graduated from the program after helping guide Arizona to three regular season conference championships and three Pac-12 Tournament titles… Pac-12 Player of the Week in January after averaging 19.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting a ridiculous 84.2 percent from the field that also included a trio of made three-point field goals in his team’s wins over Colorado (1-25-18) and Utah (1-27-18) in McKale Center… The 23 points in win over Utes at home were also a career high… Posted the best statistical season of his four-year career averaging 12.1 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 56.1 percent from the field and 78.5 percent at the free throw line… Opened the year with his first-ever 20-10 game with 20 points and 10 rebounds in UA’s win over NAU (11-10-17)… Second 20-10 showing came at Washington (2-3-18) with 21 points and 10 rebounds… Finished in the top ten in the conference in Pac-12 play in rebounding (sixth – 7.3 rpg), field goal percentage (seventh – 56.5 percent), offensive rebounds (tied for eighth – 2.1 orpg) and defensive rebounds (tied for seventh – 5.2 drpg)… Left McKale Center on Senior Day with one of the most memorable exits, shedding his jersey as he checked out while wearing an undershirt that read “Thank You Arizona” on the front and “Dusan Loves Tucson” on the back.
Junior Season (2016-17)
Showed continued improvement for a third consecutive season increasing his scoring, rebounding and free throw percentage in each of those three seasons… Started in 34 games as a junior after amassing a total of nine starts in his two years prior… Picked up first double-double of his career in third game of the season with 13 points and 15 rebounds against Sacred Heart (Nov. 18, 2016) with the 15 boards being a career high… Played perhaps his best game versus UC Irvine (Dec. 6, 2016) with 18 points and ten rebounds while shooting 8 of 11 (.727) from the field… His 55.6 shooting percentage from the field in all games ranked ninth in the conference… Shot impressive 76.5 percent from the free throw line for the season from his center position… Had the best stretch of his career to open Pac-12 play tallying five consecutive double-digit scoring games for the first time in his college career as he went on to average 16.6 points and 6.2 points per game while shooting 64.8 percent from the field and 81.0 percent from the free throw line.
Sophomore Season (2015-16)
Doubled his playing time in his sophomore season from his freshman campaign… Led the team in field goal percentage for the season at 55.0 percent… Erupted for career-high 20 points in 25 minutes against UNLV (12-19-2015)… His performance against the Rebels was part of a five-game stretch where he scored in double figured in all five games… Tallied 16 points in 17 minutes versus Arizona State (2-17-2016)… Recorded first two double-digit rebounding games of his career with 11 in opener against Pacific (11-13-2015) and three games later versus Northwestern State (11-22-2015)… Converted on three-straight three-point field goal attempts before finishing three of eight from beyond the arc for the season… Blocked two shots in a game on seven separate occasions.
Freshman Season (2014-15)
Played in 36 games, averaging 3.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per contest … Shot 61.5 percent from the field on the season, the best under head coach Sean Miller by a freshman with at least 30 field goals made … Led Arizona in blocks five times on the season … Scored in double figures four times, including a season-high 13 in the win over Utah Valley in December … Had a season-high eight rebounds in the home win over California in March.
Prior to Arizona
Rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 15 center in his class by ESPN … Helped lead Sunrise Christian Academy to a 19-7 record in 2013-14 … Started all eight games for Red Star U18 at the 2013 Nike International Junior Tournament, averaging 17.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game to earn tournament MVP honors … Averaged 14.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for Serbia at the 2011 FIBA U16 Championship … Posted a double-double at the 2011 Jordan Brand Classic International Game, scoring 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds … Coached by Kyle Lindsted at Sunrise Christian.
