Cats to Open CWS Play Saturday Versus Miami

Tucson, Ariz. -- The NCAA announced Monday afternoon that the Arizona Wildcats will open play at the College World Series on Saturday night at 5 p.m., MST., on ESPN2.
Karl Ravech will handle play-by-play duties with Eduardo Perez and Kyle Peterson serving as analysts. Kaylee Hartung will be the on-field reporter.
Arizona will match up with No. 3 Miami in its opening game. Miami is currently 50-12 on the season and topped Boston College in three games in Super Regional play last weekend. This year's trip will mark Miami's 25th trip to the College World Series.
Should Arizona win, the Wildcats will play Monday night at 4 p.m., MST on ESPN. The loser of the Miami-Arizona game will play Monday at 11 a.m., on ESPNU.
Arizona advanced to the College World Series on Saturday, by topping host Mississippi State 6-5 in 11 innings after winning Game 1 on Friday, 1-0. The Super Regional win clinched Arizona's 17th trip to the College World Series, which is tied for seventh most all-time.
