TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona football program announced Wednesday it has agreed to a two-game, home-and-home series with Virginia Tech for the 2029 and 2030 seasons.
The first-ever meeting between the Wildcats and Hokies is slated to begin in Tucson on Sept. 8, 2029, with a return trip to Blacksburg, Va., scheduled for Aug. 30, 2030.
The Wildcats are 5-0 all-time against Atlantic Coast Conference members at the time the game was played. Arizona last faced off with an ACC foe in the 2013 AdvoCare V100 Bowl, defeating Boston College, 42-19, in Shreveport, La.
Earlier this year, Arizona announced a series with Kansas State in the 2024-25 seasons and another with Nebraska in the 2028 and 2031 seasons.
The Wildcats are set to officially report to fall camp Wednesday afternoon with the first preseason practice to be held Thursday evening.
