TUCSON, AZ – Arizona Gymnastics returns for week three of the 2017 season. This Saturday on Jan. 21, the GymCats will face off against Iowa State in McKale Center at 4 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. The meet will have live stats available at athletics.arizona.edu/gymstats/20170121/htm and live streaming at http://pac-12.com/live/university-arizona.
 
Last week the GymCats traveled to Maryland for their first quad-meet of the season. Coming in second place with a 193.225, they narrowly lost to 2016 Big 10 Champions Minnesota who scored a 194.900. Maryland came in third place with a 192.350 and Alaska placed fourth with a 188.175.
 
Arizona looks to build momentum with a victory over Iowa State before heading into Pac-12 conference play next week.
 
"We had some unfortunate injuries last week, but it has been nice to see different people stepping up to fill those roles. We have learned a lot of lessons in our first meets, and we are excited to put our best foot forward as a team and family this weekend in McKale."
 
This Saturday the GymCats welcome you to join them for "Daddy Daughter Date Night". The first 10 daddy/daughter pairs will receive a free concessions voucher and all daddy/daughter couples will be sought out for game time promotions as well as a chance to be on the big screen! Doors will open one hour prior to the start of the meet at 3 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
