TUCSON, Ariz. – Senior offensive lineman
Christian Boettcher and redshirt sophomore cornerback
Malcolm Holland were named to the first-team Pac-12 All-Academic team, the league announced Thursday morning. Boettcher is a biochemistry major with a 3.60 GPA. Holland is a pre-business major with a 3.44 GPA.
Boettcher was a second-team pick last year, and will graduate this spring, before enrolling in law school. Holland was also a second-team pick last season, before earning first-team honors thi syear.

Jake Glatting, an industrial engineering major with a 3.45 GPA, was named to the second-team. Additionally, quarterback
Khalil Tate, running back
Branden Leon, tight end
Jamie Nunley and kicker
Josh Pollack were all named honorable mention All-Academic.
To be eligible for selection to the All-Academic squad, a student-athlete must have a minimum of a 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's games.
Boettcher, from Scottsdale Desert Mountain High School, has started all 12 games for the Wildcats this season at guard. He will play the final game of his career in the team's upcoming bowl game. A critical piece on the offensive line, Boettcher helped the Arizona offense average 41.8 points per game, 494.5 yards of total offense per game and 324.4 rushing yards per game.
Boettcher has made 19 career starts and has played in 24 career games. Earlier in November, the offensive lineman was named Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for his combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
Holland, a key contributor on special teams, played in all 12 games for the Wildcats this season. He has five tackles, including one for a loss. He played in all 12 games last year as a redshirt freshman and had eight tackles.
Glatting, who earned his first conference academic recognition, averaged 35.7 yards per punt this season on 22 punts, with a long of 52 yards. The Phoenix Thunderbird High School product had ten punts last season as a sophomore and was a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete in high school.
Tate, who has rushed for 1,353 yards this season and passed for 1,289 yards, is majoring in Information Science and eSociety. Leon, who played in all 12 games, is majoring in public management and policy with a minor in leadership studies and practice. Nunley is a literacy, learning and leadership major, while Polalck is studying psychology and minoring in sports management.
